#notabloodyluxury is a campaign that runs every year to encourage donations of menstrual products to the MH Food Bank. Our class was divided into teams and asked to create two campaigns using #notabloodyluxury.
I assumed the role of team leader and suggested a motion graphic. We compared luxury items to menstrual products to get across the point of #notabloodyluxury. I knew I could effectively convey our message, it would also grab attention on social media platforms. I was in charge of the animation and delivery.
The second campaign was a digital poster comparing the luxury of cigarettes to menstrual products. I was in charge of photography and each member of the team presented their own use of typography.
Project Wrap Up
I feel honoured that our first campaign was chosen. I hope to do more work for non-profits in the future. This project gave me more experience working in a team and allowed me to work on my motion graphic skills.
